Knights’ Youth Committee Supports St. Anne Teens

Off to the Annual Youth Rally and March for Life in Washington, DC

St. Anne's Youth Group joined a delegation from the Diocese of Charleston to attend the 36th Annual March For Life in Washington, D.C. on Thursday, January 22, 2009.

Diocesan buses traveled from Columbia and arrived at St. Anne

Church Wednesday evening for a special "commissioning" Mass, which our Council supported whole heartedly. Seventeen of our St. Anne teens attended the Youth Mass and Rally with over 40,000 Catholics at the Verizon Center, before proceeding to the Mall for the march. After the march, delegates boarded the buses for the long ride back.

I have much admiration for these teenagers who have decided to put their Pro-Life beliefs into practice by making this sacrifice to show their opposition to the unjust and unconstitutional Roe v Wade decision of 1973.
