For Catholics, “giving up” during Lent is a symbolic but meaningful bit of sacrifice and penance in preparation for the celebration of Easter, in addition to other prayer and preparation. Giving up meat on Fridays is a small thing, but reminds us of all that Christ gave for us.
During Lent, we often celebrate this bit of sacrifice together in the form of a Friday Night Fish Fry like those sponsored by our Knights of Columbus Council.
Brother Knights and their wives come and work together to serve the parish as well as others in the community who may wish to join us.
