Sixty-seven people gathered at Mary’s Café in Rock Hill Oct. 27th, to say “Good-bye and good luck” to a beloved long-time member of Council, Joe Zsiga. Joe will be leaving for Connecticut and his new home with his family, right after working the polls on election day.
Joe showed up sporting his nifty new Carolina Panthers hat which the Council bought for him, and a Panthers shirt, which was presented to him by the folks at Bank of America Stadium at the Panthers game last Sunday. The shirt, imprinted with Joe’s name on the back, wasn’t just any team jersey. This one was especially designed with the #11 on the front, signifying the number of years that Joe volunteered at the concession booth with the Knights . . . a fitting gift for a faithful volunteer who never missed a game in all that time!
It was a great night for Joe as he and his fellow Knights shared dinner, a cake, and years’ worth of beautiful memories.
